About Me

Personal Information I'm Willing to Post Online

What's a Brezeeger?

Well, a brezeeger isn't really anything. One day, I was going to play a game online (Acrophobia) and I wanted a weird name. I somehow came up with "brezeeger". I've liked that name for quite a while now. I've been using it for quite awhile now. So, how does this have to do with me? It doesn't really, I'm just answering a few questions that might leave people wondering.

Basic Facts

My name is Dan and I'm 18 years old and am a senior in high school. I decided to create a personal homepage with a variety of reviews of some of my favorite things (both past and present), and I tried to also offer free things on my site, such as games, backgrounds, and mazes. I live in Illinois, that's as much as you're going to get on that matter. I've been a high-honor roll my student my entire life so far, and I plan to continue. I just received my ACT score: 33, excelling especially in math. When I grow up, I hope to be a computer programmer/scientist/engineer, website developer, electrical technician, inventor, or anything along those lines. I'm a mathematical science kind of dude, and no, I do not like to go to school like a lot of people believe. I am likely going to be studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois-Urbana, although I am still holding out on being accepted to California-Berkeley for the same degree. Right now, I'm trying to get some bucks for college, because I know I will be broke.

Musical Me!

I am in band, marching band, and jazz I, playing the saxophone as first chair(my apologies - been awhile since I've updated this page - was not 1st chair soph or jun. year). I participated in IMEA in both 7th and 8th grade, great experiences! There is a contest for playing an instrument and I played the saxophone (obviously). I did well enough that I got a first each year so far. Which means I did well on the song I played (judged against yourself). I got a little medal with a ribbon that showed I got a first, every single year! I also got a trophy for being first chair. I used play the piano and quit playing about 5-6 years ago. I think I was fairly well, considering my age, but I wasn't all that great. One year for syllabus, I got a score of 99.5. I was so mad, I knew what I did wrong and it was a dumb mistake. I can still play the piano somewhat, although I'll take a saxophone any day! I have participated in the Superstate Contest at U of I Urbanna the past two years.

Athletic Me

I am a major fan of soccer, and have been playing it since I was five years old - I stopped in high school (marching band took over). I've got a gazillion trophies, but anyone who started early and was in the same league as me does too - included with the package. I will play anything but keeper, goalie, or whatever you may call it. There isn't running and after being charged over multiple times and whenever I get injured I'm being in goal, it's just not that much fun for me anymore. I'm most comfortable on defense, although I can do any of the positions adequately. When juggling a soccer ball (patience/practice a must) my record is currently somewhere in the 170's. It's been awhile, I forgot. I started out slow though, happy to break two or three. Set small goals and if you seem to be having a bad day at it, stop. Morale is an important factor too.

I also play a small amount of basketball, too. In Middle School at intramurals, I got the hustle and attitude plaque award. I also was in cross-country as a 6th grader and ran the mile in 6:24 (Best Time). Now it's more like 7:00-7:30. Most people think I'm a scrawny old bum. I'll give the scrawny, not exactly built very muscular but more like a string bean, and therefore I stink at sports, but in reality, I feel I'm actually pretty good. I can run fast (not track fast, but still fast), I've got endurance (not X-country endurance, but still endurance), I've got quickk reactions, and I've got good hand-eye coordination.

Each spring, I've been playing on the tennis team. I don't consider myself stellar, but I'm definitely well above average. I played 2nd singles on varsity as a sophmore, and this past year I rotated between first and third doubles. Collapsing my lung (twice!) did not help my game very much.

Me with Computers and Electronics

I've had in my mind ever since I was about 5 that when I grew up, I was going to work with computers. I didn't know how. I have a various amount of equipment, such as external hard drives, and don't forget the awesome software (Thank you Aunt Deb!). Now I'm pretty sure what I'm going to do. I enjoy doing stuff with computers and know a lot about programming software. I'm not even close to being great, but I am 17. Right now, I'm trying to learn about making 3D games, but I'm starting out simple and doing Direct X 2D games. I've gotten a few kits on electronics. I made soccer robot and another robot that detects stuff in it's way and turns. I think that has helped me very much. I am very much into computer games. My favorite game is City of Heroes, among many others. During 8th grade in science class, I built a few hovercrafts. It wasn't really computer stuff, but it was more of electronics. I didn't use resistors, capacitors, transistors, and such, but I used wires and soldered them together to connect motors. The most surprising thing is that it worked, it didn't fly straight, but it hovered and went in circles which I thought was cool enough in itself.

Me wtih K'nex

I was very into K'nex, but this isn't the place to learn about it. If you want to know more, Click Here. But me with K'nex, I've made up countless large things: ball factories, castles, rockets, accessories(like the one my laptop is currently sitting on top of), and needless to say I have probably over 10,000 pieces and most every large set from when K'nex was just K'nex... without the electronic brains, new, odd pieces, etc.

Me with Nintendo

I am also very intersted in Nintendo. If you want to know more about Nintendo, Click Here. As for me, I have Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and the old Gameboy (the fat one, where the batteries actually last awhile). I used to have the Super Nintendo, but I gave it away to my younger cousin. I have many games, which are mentioned in the two sections of Nintendo, but I've found Gamecube just much better than N64 in general with more comfortable grips on controllers, built in rumble, memory, graphics, gameplay, speed, and it's Mini Discs, not cartridges! (Afterall, it is an improvement on 64)
