K'nex

K'nex in general is a great learning toy, especially in Geometry. All instructions are always color coded and it really helps construction skills. I think K'nex is even better than lego's, at least what you make seems more impressive out of K'nex than it does Legos. There are many uses for it too. For instance, I made a stand for my laptop, which was really quite a task. I made a container for stain glass. CD holders are a possibility. Some of the objects I made sometimes with the help of my cousin were a castle, a trebuchet (like a catapult), an airport, rockets, among many other different things, as well as the instructed ones. They don't seem to offer these kits on Amazon.com anymore, but my favorites as well as my family's include: The Big Ball Factory, Hyper Space Training Tower, Hyper Space Command Outpost, The Trampoline Tower, and Power Tower Crane. They still do make the Roller Coaster, although I believe the earlier roller coaster was much more impressive than the Screaming Serpent Coaster.
