Crystal Mountain
Crystal Mountain is the first course, and the simplest. It's very straightforward for in the direction you go. There are a few points I'd like to make.
The first one is there is a ramp to the left about halfway through the course. Go over it, if you don't it's still ok. Follow the wood
wall until the end. Go through and there is a secret pathway behind the hill. It's a straight forward path whereas the "correct" or obvious path
is like a half-pipe, except it's in the shape of a snake. Another point I'd like to make is that this course is the best course if you're a beginner
to learn more about the player and the board you chose. It's a good course to start to adapt to the controls of 1080 Snowboarding and get used
to balance and landing jumps. The last tip I'd like to mention is that there are ramps at the end. Don't go over them, unless you're doing trick attack.
If you do go over them, you lose time, and if you fall, it gives the CPU or the other person you are facing a chance to pass you up. I've had experience
with this, and I was the passer. I didn't think I won the race.
Crystal Peak
Crystal Peak is almost like a remodeled Crystal Mountain with a few diifferences and is also harder. It is the second course that you play
when you do match race. Like Crystal Mountain, it has the same setup at the end. Once again, I'm going to repeat myself. Don't go over
the ramps at the end unless you are doing trick attack, or have some other significant reason to go over it. In the beginning when you are
going down the steep part, make wide turns. The computer makes sharp turns and loses all their speed in the process. It gives you a good opportunity
to pass the challenging player or CPU up. There is an ice patch in this course, however you can take a sidepath to the right, but you have to find it.
I don't want to ruin the game. I will give you one clue about the ice patch. You can try to make the turn on the ice, and you might make it around the turn about
one out of every five times give or take a few depending on how good you are. If you go straight over the patch, there is a small area of snow near the wall that you can turn
on to make the turn on the ice patch with better chances. This is also a relatively simple course.
Golden Forest
Golden Forest is the third course and significantly harder. When there is a choice to go left or right, always go left. It gives the most direct or straight forward route.
Watch out for logs lying across the path. There easy places to trip over. Make sure you jump over them. On the second choice when you go left, watch out for the
log. It fools many people into falling. It took me about five tries to figure out what was going on. I'll leave it to you to figure out what happens too. When you
come up to the frozen river, go up the big pile of snow, or go straight. Whatever you do, don't follow the river. It leaves with no way out and towards a frozen waterfall.
Turning is tough on the ice, and landing on the ice isn't exactly easy, either. If you do go up the hill of powdery snow, you can go across the log once you reach the end.
At the end, watch out. There's a tough maneuver to go through, and I still have trouble getting through it.
Mountain Village
Mountain Village, the fourth course on expert, and the final course on normal, is an altogether interesting course.
When you start out, try to stick to the middle path, which is harder to get to and stay on, but overall, it's easier once your there and faster.
Once you're past that, you'll come across a shed. Personally, I jump from the left of the shed, onto the ramp, and off the ramp to the right
side of the shed. It's your choice on what to do there. Whatever you do, watch your landing because where you land is a bunch of moguls, or
a bunch of bumps. You'll go into a group of rocks blocking your way. The rock at the end can be used as a ramp, however, chances are that you'll
fall. Once you get to the tunnel, stick right. Going left makes you go in a halfcircle instead of going straight. When you get to the second intersection,
make your choice. One is better, but harder. Once you're in the village, look out for some stuck cars in the snow, or blockades.
Dragon Cave
Dragon Cave is an interesting course. It's number five on expert and the final course on hard. Watch out for the turns if you don't
want to go on the biggest jump of your life. To get to the Dragon's Cave, stay up on the platform and stay to your far left. After the bridge, stay left,
but don't go off the plateau. To make it into the cave, you'll have to jump. This course can be difficult, and it can also be rather easy. Once you near the end, there'll be
a barn type of thing. It'll look like a ramp, but there's a surprise behind it. The surprise could win you the game, but it could also lose it. Nothing comes without some luck and chance.
Deadly Fall
Deadly Fall is the final course of expert and the game. You face the crystal or the golden boarder, aka "Ice Man". I'm not going to say much about this course. If you get here,
you've had lots of practice, and don't need my help. The tough part is getting to the end without the damage filling up. After that, it's the course you take that could decide it all. See, I told you,
i'm not saying much.
