There are many similarities between different objects that are unlocked. To unlock them ( Make them available for use ) you must do a certain thing with the game, and once that condition is met, the hidden thing is revealed. When finding hidden players, you must also beat them as one of the conditions. The only problem is, you don't know what the conditions are, but that's why I have this website. You can clear all the data, therefore getting rid of the conditions, and also therefore losing all the players, courses, and other hidden things you've unlocked.

Brief Overview of Unlocking

Luigi
Beat Break the Targets on all of the original players. ( The ones you didn't need to unlock ) You will need to beat Luigi then with the last character that you play as and win on Break the Targets.
It's easier to follow the menu and do this: 1 Player -> Bonus Practice 1 -> Rotate through the characters and break all the targets on one run for each of them.

Ness
Complete a One Player Game on Normal with 3 lives without continuing at all. Then you must beat Ness with the character you played as.

Captain Falcon
Complete a One Player Game under 20 minutes with any character and any difficulty. Then you must beat Captain Falcon with the character you played as.

Jigglypuff
Complete a One Player Game on any level of difficulty, any character, and using any amount of continues. Then you must beat Jigglypuff with the character you played as.

Hidden Course and How to Unlcok It |
Mushroom Kingdom
Beat the game with the eight original characters under normal with three lives, however, continues can be used freely.

Unlocking NonCourse/NonCharacter Things

Item Switch
To get this hidden choice, you must play the versus game one hundred times, as in 100x(I thought it was fifty, but It lasted way longer than 50 for me!). To do this, it is best
to have friends over and before you know it, you'll have item switch. What this will allow you to do is choose out of all the items
which ones will appear and how often any general item will appear. You can even set it up so no items will ever appear. This can be a cool
thing to have, so if you don't like an item, just goto the item switch, (Versus Mode-> Versus Options-> Item Switch) and select the items you don't
want to appear and put them under NO. Simple as that, and now you don't have to worry about someone basically getting an auto-win because they got
the hammer. I like to use this very often whenever I play. Another common thing that people do is make it only Pokeballs which makes for
an interesting match, but it gets old after awhile.

Sound Test
To get the Sound Test you must beat Bonus 1 and 2 with all of the characters. I've never actually gotten this before,
and never actually knew it existed. I'm not totally sure, but I think this let's you listen to the music for each individual course, and it might
let you change around with them. But I'm not sure, because I've never gotten it before, so sorry about that.
